our tiny little weekend

I hope you all had a marvelous & relaxing weekend!  I know I look forward to the weekend so much because I know that it is a great time to be together as a family.  We started our weekend with a bbq/picnic that the law wives put together!  They did such a great job!  Good food, awesome fellowship & some fun games.  Oliver had fun swinging & playing in the sand!

(This picture cracks me up because it looks like Ollie is glaring, but he is really looking at the other kids playing in the sand)

Yesterday was the first day of FALL & we decided to relax and go for a walk around this gorgeous park while drinking much needed coffee ;)  The weather has been starting to cool off & it has been in the 70's which feels amazing.  I was also excited to see some trees changing colors & leaves beginning to fall!  Oliver fell asleep halfway through our walk, so we decided to go for a drive.  One thing that I have always appreciated about Matt is that he isn't a planner.  He is willing to do whatever on a drop of a dime!  Sunday drives are the best & with a sleeping boy in the backseat, it felt like a date!  We ended up driving through rural Virginia towns with small farms & signs advertising future pumpkin patches.  We even saw a huge black snake slithering along the road.  Googled them & I guess the snake is called the Black Rat Snake & it is native to Virginia... yay...  At least it isn't poisonous, but I guess they are powerful constrictors!  We also drove along the coast and ended up at Sandbridge Beach.  We wanted to get out but decided it would be better to keep driving since Ollie was still sleeping & every parent knows that it is best to keep them asleep for as long as possible ;)  Overall, it was really a nice day to relax with my two boys & go explore this new home of ours!

(The BEST jogger, Bob Revolution CE, super light & easy to fold up!  I highly recommend!  We have taken it on hiking trails, beaches, in the rain & snow & it has held up so great!)

Hope you all had a great Monday & pray that the rest of the week goes smoothly ;)
