planning for Oliver's first birthday

The countdown to Oliver's first birthday begins!  I have been planning for a few months now on what I had wanted his theme to be, but since moving to Maui for the summer it definitely has changed ;)  Oliver has been a total water baby since we got to Maui so I have to do a beach/surf/water theme!  We are thinking a barbecue at my parents house would be perfect since they have a pool & all the little kiddos (& big kiddos) can go swimming!  I definitely want a smash cake for him & love the idea of putting fresh blueberries on top with a blue ombre cake, but I really do not know how he will react to the cake since at the moment he isn't too interested in whole foods.  The menu will probably be just bbq chicken with rice & a salad... Fruit cups, goldfish, & cake pops will probably be the snacks :)  We are so excited to celebrate his 1st birthday, but still so sad that he is growing up so fast!  A lot of the supplies we will get from Think Garnish, they have affordable paper goods & everything is so cute!  Plus, I will be working with my sister's company, Purveyor & Co, for the invitations!

Here are just a few things I have my eye on for Oliver.  Of course, we probably can't get the speedster (shipping it to the mainland will be pricey!!), but it is definitely fun window shopping for Ollie!
