Celebrating the Fourth
I hope everyone had a sparkly fourth of July!
Our morning was pretty mellow. Matt & I went to get some doughnuts & Starbucks for everyone & then we waited until Oliver woke up from his morning nap to head up to a cute little country town called Makawao. Every shop was decorated in American flags. Very festive! The town was pretty empty because there was a rodeo going on (which I really wanted to go, but we drove by so that has got to count for something ;)! I highly recommend everyone who visits Maui to stop & check this town out! They have so many cute & local shops & my favorite doughnut shop, Komoda's Bakery, is located here! Make sure you get to Komoda's early, because their doughnuts go fast! Then we headed back to our house & a couple friends came over for bbq, fireworks & a movie! Oliver loved all the sparklers & fireworks! He was mesmerized by all the sparks & pops :)
Here are a few pictures of our afternoon in Makawao!

you can tell Oliver was more interested in his sunnies ;)

Our friend had a great camera & we spent an hour or so trying to get the perfect sparkler picture :) Very fun!
