Easter

Easter

Easter weekend seemed to go by so fast & I am glad I took a few photos, because I love looking back on them to see how Ollie has grown! I have a few photos I took throughout the years & I thought it would be fun to show them. This photo was taken right after church this Sunday, Ollie is looking so old (he is almost SIX!!!!!)!

Down below I have a few photos throughout the years. I forgot to take one last year, but starting left to right, 2014 (we were in Hawaii & Ollie was almost 1), then the two photos with Ollie in a bowtie are in 2015 (Ollie was almost 2), the photo with just me & Ollie was taken in 2016 (Ollie was almost 3) & then the last photo was taken in 2017 (Ollie was almost 4)! Such fun memories! Since we have had Ollie, we have spent Easter in 3 different states: Hawaii, Virginia & Idaho.

This year, we started Easter celebrations on Saturday with a huge Easter egg hunt that a local church put on & Ollie got so many eggs! There were a lot of people there, but he had a lot of fun. We followed up the egg hunt with açaí bowls for lunch & then Ollie fell asleep in the car which NEVER happens anymore!

On Sunday we decided to take the morning slow. I had made Oliver an egg scavenger hunt to find his Easter basket & he had so much fun with that! I totally forgot to take a picture of his basket, but oh well! Then I made us quiche for breakfast & then started making the roast & fruit salad for our Easter get together with our family! We decided to go to the 3rd service at our church & then headed to our sister-in-laws house for another easter egg hunt for the cousins & then dinner & dessert which was so nice & relaxing!

I hope you all had a lovely Easter & I just wanted to leave you off with such a beautiful song we sung at church!

Living Hope

How great the chasm that lay between us
How high the mountain I could not climb
In desperation, I turned to heaven
And spoke Your name into the night
Then through the darkness, Your loving-kindness
Tore through the shadows of my soul
The work is finished, the end is written
Jesus Christ, my living hope

Who could imagine so great a mercy?
What heart could fathom such boundless grace?
The God of ages stepped down from glory
To wear my sin and bear my shame
The cross has spoken, I am forgiven
The King of kings calls me His own
Beautiful Savior, I'm Yours forever
Jesus Christ, my living hope

Hallelujah, praise the One who set me free
Hallelujah, death has lost its grip on me
You have broken every chain
There's salvation in Your name
Jesus Christ, my living hope

Hallelujah, praise the One who set me free
Hallelujah, death has lost its grip on me
You have broken every chain
There's salvation in Your name
Jesus Christ, my living hope

Then came the morning that sealed the promise
Your buried body began to breathe
Out of the silence, the Roaring Lion
Declared the grave has no claim on me
Then came the morning that sealed the promise
Your buried body began to breathe
Out of the silence, the Roaring Lion
Declared the grave has no claim on me
Jesus, Yours is the victory, whoa!

Hallelujah, praise the One who set me free
Hallelujah, death has lost its grip on me
You have broken every chain
There's salvation in Your name
Jesus Christ, my living hope

Hallelujah, praise the One who set me free
Hallelujah, death has lost its grip on me
You have broken every chain
There's salvation in Your name
Jesus Christ, my living hope

Jesus Christ, my living hope
Oh God, You are my living hope
