DIY: Spring Lip Scrub
I don’t know about you, but exfoliating my lips is always the last thing on my mind. I live in a pretty dry climate & my lips are consistently chapped & I knew I needed to try something. Some benefits of using a lip scrub is that it will help wipe away dead skin & rejuvenate your lips! Here is a brief summary of the ingredients & what their purpose is & why I use them in the lip scrub: Sugar actually helps hydrate your skin, coconut oil helps exfoliate the dead skin & keeps your lips smooth & wrinkle free, honey is a great antibacterial source & nourish & sooth dry skin! I chose grapefruit, tangerine & lemon essential oils because I love pairing all the citrus, especially for a freshness with Spring, but also because they are natural oils to uplift you!
I decided to use my 3 favorite citrus essential oils & create a Spring Lip Scrub that smells so delicious & is really simple to make. I use my lip scrub about 3-4 times a week & then just use a damp cloth to wipe it off & follow with a chapstick! I also stick my homemade lib scrub in my fridge to keep hardened & it can last a good 6 months!
Here is what you will need to do:
Put all ingredients into 8 ounce mason jar & stir.
3 TB coconut oil
5 TB granulated sugar
1/2 tsp honey
6 drops grapefruit oil
6 drops tangerine oil
4 drops lemon
