Every year we like to put together a little Easter basket for Oliver and fill it with some of the things we know he will love. Right now he is really into bugs & scavenger hunts! We were at Old Navy the other day & we ended up getting him the cutest bug shirt (which he wanted so bad!). Another thing he is really into is chapter books. Our friend has three daughters & they read chapter books every night. She let us borrow Little House in the Big Woods by Laura Ingalls Wilder. We actually just finished reading it & Oliver loved this book. Because the book didn't have many pictures, he likes to tell us he's been using his 'imagination' a lot. I figured I would get him Farmer Boy by Laura Ingalls Wilder, that way we have another fun book to read! I actually read all of her books when I was young & now to be reading them to my son, it is just surreal.
When I was younger, my mom would make a little scavenger hunt for me & my sisters to find our hidden Easter baskets & I almost loved that more than the actual basket. I am going to do something similar with Oliver, except I am going to make little bunny footprints from his room, leading around the house to where I hid his basket. I cannot wait to see his face when he finds his basket! I linked all the items & similar ones, down below. I really hope you all have a wonderful Easter & let me know what items you have picked out for your kids and their baskets!
