oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree...

Last Friday, Oliver turned 6 months!  I really cannot believe he is halfway to 1... Time goes by so fast!  So to celebrate Ollie turning 6 months, he had a doctors appointment & had to get his last round of shots :(  It hurts me every time to see him in pain...  The rest of Friday, we cuddled in our jammies & watched the snow fall.  Oliver has also been teething, so lots of cuddle time is a must.  He seems to not want to let go of me & cries every time I put him on his play mat... but I'm not complaining!  Although, the house is seriously due for some major cleaning ;)

Saturday morning, we made breakfast, got some coffee then went to a local tree farm & picked out our tree!  It was so fun having Ollie with us & help pick out the tree... (I know, he didn't really help, but it was great having him with us).  It was so snowy & quiet.  We even saw a few horses, although Oliver wasn't very interested ;)  Later that day, we walked over to a cute, local shop & bought Ollie his first ornament!  You can kind of see it on the tree in the picture below, it is a plaid, hunters hat with the side bills... So adorable!  Every year, my parents got me & my sisters an ornament & Matt & I want to do the same!  Just a really neat tradition.
Last night, we put Oliver to bed, made some hot cocoa & listened to Christmas music while we finally trimmed the tree!  It was so nice just to spend time with Matt & we even wrapped a few more presents.  I cannot wait to show Oliver the tree all decorated!
